Energy efficiency and being environmentally conscious is top the list for most consumers and La-Z-Boy Spas has taken every possible opportunity to make their hot tubs as efficient as possible, even during extreme winter weather!

The California Energy Commission (CEC), one of the most stringent in the world, recognises all of these hot tubs as an "Energy Efficient Appliance" as they include a unique & highly efficient immersion electric heating system that maintains the tub’s hot water temperature for just a few pence a day.

This in part is achieved by the Therma-Zone Insulation System which encapsulates the perimeter of the tub and uses the excess heat created by the pump(s) in the spa cavity, dramatically lowering the energy consumption. All this allows you to enjoy the spas's benefits of hot water and hydrotherapy while saving you money and being kinder to the environment!

Therma-Zone Insulation System

The unique Therma-Zone Insulation System comprises of 5 insulating zones plus the spa cover, which provides maximum heat retention to the only open part of the hot tub.

The Lazyboy hot tub's shell and Everlast Floor are sprayed with a very highly efficient polyurethane insulation, then as an added measure a thick polystyrene insulation is vulcanised to the inside of the cabinet, sealed in place using a tight fitting gasket system.

Hot Tub Water Management System

It is not just the heating of the spa that needs to be efficient, the cleaning of the water must also be as eco-friendly as possible.

A weekly dose of Aquasafe and then the high performance system on the spas utilises efficient water management methodologies to make sure that unwanted contaminants are easy to filter and therefore more vulnerable for removal. It is then given a compressed charge of ozone gas in the treatment chamber which eliminates the bacteria & organics discharging them into the filters, where the Comfort Clean Filtration & Circulation System automatically filters any remaining particles and thoroughly cleanses the water so it is left sparkling.
